What is NASB?

Carlisle initiated the North American Service Benchmark (NASB) in 2008 to gather leading motor vehicle manufacturers for service operations benchmarking. This annual event provides an opportunity for automotive OEMs to come together and share their ideas, successes, and challenges across organizations. The aim of the conference is to help strengthen the automotive service industry as a whole by fostering collaboration and sharing best practices. The conference is a two-day event that is designed to provide attendees with a wealth of knowledge, insights and opportunities to connect with peers and industry leaders. The NASB Conference is an ideal platform for automotive OEMs to discover new ways to improve their service operations, stay current on industry trends and gain valuable insights into the latest industry best practices.

NASB Conference

This year, the North American Service Benchmark Conference is planned for May 22-24, 2023 in Charlotte, North Carolina.

We're excited to announce that for the first time this year, we are inviting non-automotive OEMs to participate in NASB! This specialized offering is tailored to jumpstart service benchmarking in industries such as powersports, construction, agriculture, and more.

Again this year, we will be holding a hybrid conference. This will allow anyone who is unable to travel to the conference to attend digitally through Zoom Webinars.

In effort to promote sustainability, pens and paper will not be provided at the conference. We encourage attendees to bring their own writing materials or utilize digital alternatives.

What to Expect at NASB 2023

Attending the Conference

Individuals from various departments within service parts organizations attend the NASB conference for a variety of reasons. When determining who from the organization should attend, companies should consider how the attendees will benefit from the information and experience gained at the conference.

Marketing and CRM professionals should attend so that they can understand what best practices leading companies use to assess their performance, market to their vehicle owners, and deliver outstanding results.

Staff responsible for technical training, technical information diagnostics systems, and FRFT initiatives should attend to understand what other companies are doing to improve their dealers’ ability to service and repair vehicles.

Senior service operations management should use insights gained at the conference as a springboard for business planning and initiative development. They also gain many opportunities to network with industry colleagues.

Companies may also want to use the NASB Conference as a training venue for high potential employees.

NASB is much more than an annual conference. Over two days, the bench mark provides attendees the opportunity to attend breakout sessions and presentations, network with peers and learn from industry experts.

The NASB Conference is a valuable event that offers a wealth of knowledge on the latest research and emerging issues in the service business. This conference is an excellent opportunity for OEMs to engage in detailed discussions on current and relevant topics, and to walk away with actionable insights. The conference also provides ample networking opportunities where attendees can connect with industry experts and thought leaders from all participating OEMs. Additionally, attendees will have the opportunity to interact with Carlisle & Co facilitators and discuss topics that are of particular interest to them. The conference is an excellent platform to gain new perspectives, share ideas, and build meaningful connections with peers and industry leaders.

Carlisle’s Women in Aftersales (CWA) has expanded! After starting as the Women of NAPB in 2019, we are excited to now include others in the industry beyond our parts participants. In addition to the panel at the conference, we will continue to offer other digital events throughout the year

Conference Participants are a very important part of the conference!

The conference is all about the open conversation among peers, whether it is a general attendee in the audience who ask questions to the OEM Rep who complete pre-work in advance and speak on behalf of their company during the session.

General Attendees

Attending the conference as a general participant, you will have the opportunity to hear OEM representatives from member organizations discuss and share their best practices on the various breakout session topics. Make sure to come prepared with any key questions you have and be ready to take notes!

OEM Representatives

You may have been nominated by your Steering Committee Member for this role. It is important to ensure that you are comfortable speaking on the assigned topic and come prepared to share and learn from other participants. As an OEM Representative at the conference, you will be representing your organization during a breakout session discussion.
