COVID threw a massive amount of uncertainty at individual and businesses alike; the timing of when and how quickly things can and will return to "normal" is unknown and constantly changing. In addition to this uncertainty, in 2020, many dealerships were forced to furlough or lay off staff, and businesses everywhere are now facing major labor shortages. All of this creates a very difficult setting for capacity planning for OEMs and dealers. The purpose of this session will be to discuss how capacity planning processes and strategies have evolved since COVID hit and how OEMs are dealing with this very unusual level of uncertainty.
